Room to breathe, coupled with the certainty that when you need your partner, they will be there.
I’m not talking about open marriage. I mean if you love surfing, and your partner hates or fears it, the bond between you is both elastic and strong enough for you to go do your thing knowing home is your safe place.
This does not include surfing AND cheating on your partner.
