A friend of mine went thru a separation last year and was determined to get a divorce because her husband was vindictive, cruel and hard on their kids. Her soon to be ex changed his game and was super sweet to her and her kids, taking them out to restaurants, being wonderful to her and her kids and he got her back. When she went back to him he continued wining and dining her plus bought her very expensive jewery. He kept being nice then surprise surprise the honeymoon ended and he became his real self and now they bicker like they did before and hes back to being mean to his kids. I knew it wasn't going to last. Like the old saying goes, a horse cannot change its colors.

Not exactly. But I am learning from my current relationship that it will always be work. There is no 'fixed' but to always be working on bettering ourselves for each other, and our environment, etc etc etc, is what needs to happen 💛 constant work in progress I suppose

Nope that couldn’t be saved, I had to save myself, once I was done I was done, no coming back from that.

Best thing I did was divorce, i deserved so much more.

We separated after she started cheating . One of my conditions for us getting back to together was that she needed to stop . After a month , of talking things through , she had a guy move in with her . That’s when I filled for divorce .

I separated then got back together only to end up divorced

I do not know a single couple who separated and then got back together and lived happily ever after.
