Ending a relationship

So I was finally done with my two year random emotional only texting only relationship bc I was tired of this persons shit. I finally told them I was done with them ( he’s an alcoholic) and come to find out from a mutual friend that he blocked me? Now tell me why would he be the one to block me when I was the one who ended it. I mean not that it matters. But that’s so childish and petty of a man to do so. I guess what ever
