Is it normal for a girlfriend to just react with "that's good" and nothing else

After you tell her that you had to call the crisis line last night and it kinda helped(while she was sleeping with her phone completely on silent)?

And nothing else? There's some emotional dissonance there that I can't get over and cant seem to figure out how to bring up with her. Similar stuff has happened before. She's autistic but I've told her I need her to show more empathy and given her examples on how. But she just says this stuff and when I tell her I'm hurt by something she's said (admittedly I haven't had the best reactions sometimes) she just says she can't be perfect.

No.
I know autistic people.
They are hard at reading emotions, but do understand it when you explain it to them.

More importantly, are you alright?

@basilfawlty89 Thanks. You got any advice on how to bring it up with her again without triggering the "I can't be perfect" response?

I don't know, there's so much going on in my head about the relationship. I can't tell how to fix things without hurting one of us.

@Azrael2 If she says she can't be perfect, tell her you know that and you're not saying she needs to be.

How often are you venting to her about stuff in your life?

This won't get better. You either accept her as she is or you'll always be hurt by her responses.
