Is it ok not to kiss on the first date?

It took a few weeks of dating before my girlf and I plucked up the courage to kiss each other. Everyone else seems to rush into it.

@Strongtea that's cool. And several times i have told guys that asked to kiss me no. That's definitely a turn off in the first hour. But not always.
