Out of curiosity how many have found meaningful, even deep relationships on this site and if so, how long has it been?

That's a great question and this is the perfect time to ask it, or for me to answer it is more accurate.

From EP, sure you heard of it if you weren't there, for about 8 years til present here, I have met 6 people who have had a very profound effect on my life.
Out of those six I have talked to three on the phone and two I have friended on facebook.
Two of the three I talked to on the phone were brothers and it was a three way call.
I knew them for about three or four years of daily interactions before we spoke.
I still talk to one of the brothers often and the other has come back into my life here recently.

I think I only actually carried one straight across from EP and I've been friends now with them for over 20 years, I think.

But as for just here on S.W., I have met 2 insanely awesome people that I share with openly in my life almost daily. I really want to name drop..... but won't. :-( They are both phenomenal people.
They both were an instant connections and their meetings were both coincidental.
Friends of friends from EP for one and a very needed and kind warning about another user for the other.
I have had interactions with thousands and thousands of people here and on EP over the years and most have been great. I have been able to receive much needed advice from hundreds of really cool people. Wrote music with a few and am planing on more of that with others.
But only five have stood the test of time.
There are people, not in that list, that I am close to through mostly shared experiences but we don't share like I get and do with the six.

The two I met here, I am close enough to that I would open my home for them if the chance, or need, came about. I don't do that kind of thing often. My home is my safe space.

So I guess I can add that you just never can tell where your next life long friend is going to come from or when.
It just kind of happens when your looking the other way. LOL

@Dainbramadge I love your response. Thank you for writing it. I too was on EP and I miss it still.

@robbie2499 You know I think what made EP so much different than here was just the amount of people that used that site regularly.
Man there were millions of people on 24/7. LOL

Thank you for asking that question today of all days because I was just chatting with one of the six about that just this morning. :-)

Also, thank you for your kind comment. :-)

@Dainbramadge Absolutely correct about EP. It was so much more engaging. I'm truly happy you have found relationships through EP and SW. I gave up a long time ago..

@robbie2499 I think even if we aren't finding those long term friends here it is still a great site.
I mean you can post any thought or question and get truly candid responses. From complete strangers. And lot's of them. LOL
Not all helpful but most entertaining at the least.
