what does it mean when he randomly gets shy

so a boy i’ve known for quite a long time always use to be really confident around me and flirty. i didn’t ever reciprocate it cos i didn’t really like his arrogance i guess, but after some time he kinda grew on me and we started talking for a few months, and now when i see him he’s different. he’s a lot more quiet and awkward and sometimes can’t really look me in the eye. why would he go from cocky n arrogant n flirty to just shy n awkward?

He likes you but he has things to hide - at least in his opinion. Try and work out what he is defensive about. Tease and toy with him about other topics and he should start coming on to you. Then the clever bit is to work out what he doesn't want to share and figure out why that would be, probably by asking questions about subjects 1 step away from these areas of difficulty. This is the best way to learn these skills, and fun as well.

I used to pretend to be a lot more confident when I was younger and with friends. I’m not sure why he changed, but it could be that he didn’t really like who he was? I would say that he still likes you though.

Probably because he noticed that his advices were not working and then he kinda lost courage because he still really likes you and probably doesn’t want to mess it up anymore then he feels he already has

@Pizzaguy213 but they did work eventually so idk it’s so strange. it’s just he use to talk to me in kinda a sexual way like all he wanted from me was sex n then after a while he started going on about how he really respects me n doesn’t talk in that way at all
