Have you ever had to deal with a step parent that hates you?

How did you handle it. How did they treat you?

I've seen the opposite - a stepchild who hated her new mom. The mom was lovely and treated the child well. But the stepchild just resented her because she wasn't her biological mom. The more the mom did for her, the more the child resented her.
