Why does ex keep calling me affectionate names?

My nex claims to be in a relationship but she keeps reaching out to me for chat and calls. When she does, she keeps calling me names like "sweetheart, darling and cupcake " I've never understood the games she's trying to play.?

I call people terms of endearment on accident out of habit.. the real question is why does she keep calling you?

@YoMomma I don’t know why she does , when she said she was in a new relationship I suggested we go NC so she can focus and I try to heal but she disagreed saying she wants to be friends and doesn’t t like closing all doors.
