Do you show up for friends who have been supportive?

When my ex broke up with me, he was going through a major depression .

I wanted to remain his friend and I was still his cheerleader, and wanted to be his biggest supporter .

But he made me feel like he couldn’t be bothered with me. Replied to my emails with one liners. Connected with mutual friends but barely acknowledged my existence.

I didn’t necessarily want to get back with him but I wanted to maintain a friendship.

This is literally the same story as my ex... I tried to stay in touch, but she ghosted me. Blocked me on everything. And never came back.

Now you know the boundaries. You're friendly but not friends.
Yes, to the extent I can
