What would be the motive if a guy leads you on.

My "boyfriend" the guy I love only occasionally pops up here and there expressing feelings. We have only been around each other 4 times, but hit it off really quick. He was on the road working for a few months, he's been home for over a month. We both live with our parents. He keeps saying he wants to get together, but he never does. He avoids almost all my messages. Then pops up one night and said he wants to live with me and find us a place. Dude, uhh. First of all, that's a lot to talk about and you only seem willing to speak to me like once or twice a month, you're too chicken shit to introduce me to your parents ( who I knew years ago anyway) you're hardly making an effort. Why does he lead me on like this. What is the freakin point
