I just turned 37 and just found out a couple months ago I’m on the autism spectrum. One of the symptoms of autism is that your little things like verbal cues, eye contact, body language, etc. are ill-suited to making connections with other people and seeming attractive to them. So basically I lived almost 37 years not being “cool”, not having close friends or a normal social life, and always getting turned down for dates and relationships by anyone I found attractive and not knowing why.
Now to answer your question, in my experience people don’t even get together with people they’re not attracted to, no matter how kind or sympathetic the other person might be. Now I’ve never been rich, so money might potentially be the one thing that could change that dynamic, I don’t know. But aside from that, if you’re not attractive, you don’t even get a chance.
