When people say they don't like to be ignored. What gives them the right to do it to somebody else?

It is a very frustrating scenario. What are your thoughts?

@SW-User it is, they want attention but don’t want to return it. It’s like someone who is always crying out saying people ignore them but when people reach out to them they ignore it because it’s not from the people they want.
