The Red String Theory

Have you ever connected with a person in various ways throughout your lives, without fully connecting until later? Like an invisible string was always pulling you to the same places as them. Then you find out later in life.. you've lived in the same cities, neighbourhoods and moved to the same cities elsewhere, for similar reasons, multiple times. And possibly you have the craziest, can't make it up, things in common?

There was a guy I went to high school with, but I never knew him or saw him. I met him through my husband and I ended up taking college classes with im at two different schools. And then after college, I saw him everywhere! He even ended up renting a room from a friend of his next to my mom's house. up until 10 years ago, I was guaranteed to see him at least 3 times a week while we live in the same town, and then every time I came to town afterwards, even after he no longer lived by my mom.
The very last time I saw him was when he was running with his new girlfriend through a popular part of town, about 10 years ago and have never seen him again. Now that I live back in the area, I do wonder at what point I will run into him again.
