Why are they being weird?

Some People I know are so secretive it’s annoying. I’ll ask what company their cream is and they’re like I don’t know after they just bought it. Then another person started telling me how awesome their therapist is so I asked so I can make an appointment too and she wouldn’t tell me the name. Are these people just bad friends or is this just how normal people are?
