They've been through a lot. I understand and am ok with it.

I said no, but a hall pass of my own. Hmmmmm....

I said no, but really like the idea of threesomes.

What would you do? Your spouse/significant other survives cancer. Then announces they want to "love life to the fullest" - try new things, travel and oh by the way, wants a hall pass.

They tell you they want this, but you say no. They then say it's too much for you, so they will take the decision away from you, and do it anyway. They say for you to 'put your 'big person panties on, and get over it. Their friends and even parent confront you, saying that you are being selfish and unreasonable.

Your significant other realizing that they misjudged the situation offers you a hall pass Seeing that this doesn't work, offers threesomes, an open relationship or even a open ended hall passes for the rest of your relationship.
