Would you be with someone who is physically disabled?

I am wondering if you liked someone, you meet them by chance or have liked them for some time and they walk with a limp are noticably in pain. Would that stop you from starting a relationship with them? So I've had rheumatoid arthritis since I was 2 years old, I walk with a bit of a limp and on my bad days I can barely walk. I'm curious if you see someone, you find them attractive and they have a great personality but has a limp, would you still ask them out? I'm not gonna lie my chronic pain really messes with my head at times and I honestly feel that most men wouldn't want to be with me because of my chronic pain. I see myself as damaged good in all reality. So I just want to poke into the minds of others to see if it would impact how you feel about someone. Would you date someone who is physically disabled?

I would never let a disability interfere with my ability to be with someone.

People need to seriously consider if this would be an issue because you never know what might happen later in life. In fact as we get older our bodies decline. I consider this a serious topic people should have before they ever marry or when they start talking about a serious commitment. It would be horrible to find out the person you love isn’t able to stick around for the later years or if an accident would happen that causes a disability.

@TheEmperor is that what happened to you?

I think the key here is attraction and whether there is the potential to feel more for the person than just a casual friendship. My rejection would not be based on looks, disability, height or weight but on what I learn about them as a person, how they treat me and those I care about or even how they interact with others.

@TheEmperor I’m sorry to hear that. I found myself attracted to a man, I believe he is a dwarf. Very nice, very pleasant to talk to. I would go out with him if he asked. But life has changed and I no longer frequent the place where I would see him.

@Luckylu I love how you look at it and figure it out. Very similar to myself. It gives me hope that there's others out there like myself and you that won't let certain things set them back or stop them from doing something.
