Don’t feel prioritized :/

The kids want to please their parents first and everything else is a priority. But I don’t completely understand this way they think because although I wanted to please my parents growing up (we had a a great relationship) I had a strong mind and wanted to do what I wanted to find internal happiness. Even I noticed this happening with adult friends and family. They prioritize their family and want to please them first. I feel like in relationships and connections I make I’m not really prioritized besides for my parents.

Is it normal to feel this way in any relationship?

Have to analyse what is getting pleased and what is pleasing someone else. If one's pleasure is in pleasing someone else or getting pleased on their own or should someone else cater thy pleasure.

I ask myself why should I please someone and vice versa .. will I do something that does not please me to please someone?

And so on.
