This is so great

A young woman was murdered and was not wearing her engagement ring when discovered. Her fiancé swore she WAS wearing it - it must have been a robbery.

Police were pretty sure he was the killer but couldn't find enough evidence.

Years passed. The detectives assigned to the case (both women, by the way) decide to interview the suspect's new fiancée and guess what she was wearing?

The same ring.

She snatched the ring and her future husband as well. Seems an act of jealousy.
@ABCDEF7 Nope. He had the ring all along and gave it to her to get engaged without the cost of a ring.

@Mamapolo2016 Then he was stupid to say to detectives that "she was wearing the ring and it is a case of robbery". This would have made detectives clearly doubt him because he was trying to change the purpose of murder to robbery instead of relationship.

If someone is suspect, and he tries to divert the course of investigation without any verifiable & independent proof, he just creates more reasons to doubt him.
