I once dated a guy who had a kid from a previous relationship. Not a red flag, but...
During out relationship I became an uncle for the first time. Obviously I was super excited about that and wanted to share picsof my niece with him. He scoffed and told me "if you wanna see an actual cute kid, look at this" then showed me pics of his daughter.
I get he loved his daughter very much, but still...

@SW-User Getting into any relationship with a person who has kids already is kind of a 50/50 if it's gonna be successful.
There's a lot to worry about.
You might be in the background... which I get kids come first but people got needs too
the kids may not get along with you and the mom/father may not stick up for you
if you get pregnant with the spouse who already has children, your kid may not be treated as important as their blood kids or whatever
Child support, many people don't realize that there's different child support out there. Like if you take care of the kids for a certain amount of time, the court can order you to pay child support even if the kids have a mom and a father. If the court wills it, you could get a court order to pay a certain amount.
All of that should be considered.
