guy wants to date me already he is moving too fast for me

A guy I’ve been going on dates with (probably about 5 dates we went on) wants to date me already. he is moving too fast for me. The last bf I had was narcissistic and love bombed me so I don’t want to deal with that again. I can’t tell if this new guy is like that or just really likes me. Today he asked me if he should tell his family about our relationship yet or keep it a secret still. I thought to myself what relationship I haven’t even agreed to date him yet and I thought we were just going on dates to get to know one another as I already told him I like to take things slow and he had said okay let me know when your ready (this was like a week ago). Is this normal or is he moving too fast? Either way I don’t feel comforted with it even though I enjoy his company and my time with him.

I think if you feel rushed then it's too fast for you. You might consider telling him you want to go slower and explain what is the right pace for you.

@Fifidog I can't really say how you should say it. It depends on the nature of your relationship. If it were me, I'd be tactful and honest. I'd say something like, "I'm grateful we are are bonding, but I need more time to get to know each other before going to the next step." If they don't respect that then perhaps the relationship isn't right for you.
