Moving on etc

Sometimes it just so hard for ppl to move on since the last relationship probably ruined some parts of them and left a wound that can never be healed. When i talked to my friend about it, she said why couldnt i just move on? How easy it is to say such a thing when you are not in that situation before, ig i should ve not told her about it.
