Do men value women they pay for?

I decided to go 50/50 on a date with a guy who asked me out. Most girls at my school thought I was crazy for doing this but I did. He stood me up and never came. He started flirting with another girl two weeks later. - I felt cheap and worthless. I wasn't a gold digger and guys still treated me like shit. - I have countless stories like these. When I'm paying him or I expect little to nothing from the guy I'm treated like shit and disrespected. When the guys buy me something or pays for the date I'm treated better than when I split or he gives me nothing. For years men talked about gold diggers and how they're these horrible people and first dates should be 50/50 but every time I follow this logic It's like I'm disposable. Why is this?

Goodness. Men are instinctively the “leaders” and decision makers. In a good way they like being “used”- meaning they like feeling strong and helpful, for example paying for the girl or helping in a sort of way. Sure some men don’t mind when the girl pays, but most also naturally pursue women who they have to work for, so don’t be easy, don’t put out on the first date, don’t offer to pay, don’t be available 24/7. I’m not saying play hard to get, because that gets boring, but be a bit of a fun challenge to him.

@AnonymousJSS We don't like being used, we like being useful. Big difference 🤣
