My first job was at a movie theater.. my orientation crew got put on register that night .. and I stayed in back bar.. making popcorn, pretzels and even working hot foods like making mozzarella sticks and French fries..I stuttered A lot and so they thought I was a dummy and I could only make popcorn and pretzels! I spent two months in backbar making popcorn but I wanted to be on register .. one morning I was filling up popcorn bags and I was pissed off .. this old dude who was on register and filing up his popcorn bag for his customer and he looked at me and said “it’s okay to smile” .. and I smiled everyday after that and eventually got out on register lol
