If your ex said even though things didn't work out I love you as a brother/sister now what would you think?

I’d ignore the sister/brother sentiment because unless we’ve been together for many years that’s nonsense, but sure, you can still care a lot about an ex’s wellbeing and not be ‘in love’ anymore.
