I've been married for nine years. The one before that was three years and it took me that look to realise she was actively using me and didn't care about me. Sorry to hear I'm not alone in this.

That sucks. I spent way too much time on someone who only brought more and more venom into my life, before I came to my senses and decided, "You know... maybe it's okay to just be single". It's not the best or anything, but life is way more peaceful when I'm by myself. And I'm a better person overall when I can focus on dealing with just my own issues.

40 years now and still not over.
With a bit of luck we'll stay together till one or both of us die of old age.
