how long can you really hold on to a relationship if all you have is love?

stumble over the understanding the trust can't get along just five and a half years of deep love and care for each other but an understanding that neither of us will ever see eye to eye and we're not really compatible how do you let go of that attachment of just love?

It really depends on if you're both willing to work on this relationship. my own opinion is that people throw their relationships away too quickly, because they don't agree on a few matters.
It's perfectly okay to have different interests, but I assume maybe you're fighting over these differences?
If only one of you is willing to compromise that might bring resentment
