how long can you really hold on to a relationship if all you have is love?

stumble over the understanding the trust can't get along just five and a half years of deep love and care for each other but an understanding that neither of us will ever see eye to eye and we're not really compatible how do you let go of that attachment of just love?

it's very difficult and sometimes relationships can hold out a long time. Sometimes forever. You can love someone so much that it's almost impossible to let go even if you know it's the right thing to do. It's cliche but it's important to be open about your feelings and see if you can figure out if there's a way for things to change to make the relationship work and if not then there has to be a conversation about ending it. Better now than in 20 years.
