*Yawn* Morning Sweeties!

Or...Bit of a lightweight and other stories....

😘

Friday; the end of a busy week at work, what with bugs in systems, irate users, me trying to be professional and lots of walking from station to station. Ah, the life of an IT person...

So...tired. Got home, spot of cleaning, shower and change into some night attire (nothing sexy, sweeties...purely functional! Lol!), cooked tea - delish veggie curry - and waited for Matt to come home from the gym, shower, change and eat together....

...then, must have hit a bit of a carb coma, as we call it, as I drifted off to sleep on the sofa. Must have been around 10:30....I woke up at stoopid-o-clock to use the toilet, confused that I was still downstairs (and that Matt was by my side), went to use the toilet, came down and snuggled with Matt until morning...

Seems like I lay down asleep on Matt's lap for the duration, he manoeuvred me out so he could change, brought down a pillow and a blanket and we snuggled together.

What a nice guy he is - we've not done that for a few years....and....what a lightweight I am...

I empathise: after 40 years in IT/telecomms, I took the money.
Your third para: have you had a diabetes scan/checkup, or do you know you're not eating properly?
CassandraSissy · 26-30, T
@CharlesRomsey Lol!

No, no, no sweetie! As Matts says it, the body's preferred energy source is carbs and, when we have a lot of carbs to eat - erhhhh...guilty! - the body has to use a lot of it's energy to break down those carbs to use as energy - hence why people feel a little tired , or in my case asleep, after a big meal....a big spike in energy followed by a huge crash....before it levels out.

But thanks for your concern xx

I was in IT virtually all my career (short diversion into management consulting that was a disaster).

I quickly moved to management so I was doing less of the leg work but often was telling members of the team to take time off it is a job that at times really can take a toll.

@OldBrit Well, I do get thanked from time to time, but sometimes with the, erhhh, comment that '..well, that's a bit silly, isn't it?' when the way around the issue is a little bit convoluted. Don't blame me, I tell them, I'm just the person that worked out how to do it, I didn't create it! Lol!

Then sometimes I get a 'Oh, she's cute!' kind of comment, which is nice but....brains as well as beauty, sweetie...brains as well as beauty...

🤔

My son is tier two now. He usually just does the tier one stuff too he says to avoid a lot of questions later. Are you short staffed there too?
CassandraSissy · 26-30, T
@Tastyfrzz Hmmmmm...don't think so, sweetie...just one of those weeks.
