Have you ever felt this way?

That feeling when you genuinely love someone with all your heart, but at the same time you feel like you're not good for them anymore?

Like you need this person, long for them, miss them to the point your heart breaks, but you hesitate to contact them because of the hurt you caused them.

I wonder how will we ever overcome this.

Well.. tough one.. if you intentionally or carelessly (meaning you didn’t give much thought to the destructive consequences of your actions) hurt them then… maybe it’s not ‘love’ you’re feeling. Maybe it’s attachment of addiction or codependency?

If you hurt them unintentionally then there’s always the authentic apology followed by changed behavior and hope over time as they forgive you the relationship can be amended.

Sometimes though people become a pain memory and as someone else also said below, it’s better to stay away then because if that’s the case then you reaching out to them is for your desires, not for their sake — not out of ‘love’. Better to take it as a learning opportunity to grow from, make sure to not repeat, and to love with more consideration in the future.

Someone who truly loves you won’t make you feel like you’re hurtful.

@Reject True. But I guess its normal for us to let people know that they've hurted us in a way.

@WhateverWorks You can let someone know they’ve hurt you without making them feel like a hurtful person.
Sometimes our life choices can hurt someone. But that doesn’t mean we intended them to suffer that pain.

If your presence will only remind them of the pain, it is best to stay away. If they reach out to you and you’re willing to let them in, that will be your choice.

Yeah, I’ve felt this. Time helps.
