When you badly wanted something to work so bad, then it wont. What do you do?

I walked away from a relationship I wanted to work so bad. Not because I fell out of love but more like I fell out of place. I felt like he wasnt so ready for me because life has been hard on his end. I wanted to stay, but how can I, when he doesnt seem to know what to do about me too. He doesnt know where we are going for he still needs a lot to fix with his own. And im here crying for a love that lost its spark.
