Have you spent more time in your life as a single person? Or ‘attached’ in some way? And would you change it?

When I actually think about it, the majority of my life I have spent as one half of a couple. In all my 50-some years I can count on my fingers, the years I’ve spent single.

I do not classify my childhood/teen years with parents as single.
Since I went from that to married at 18 then I have never been single in 71 years.

@jim44444 I know that you value marriage and family because you have been married for so long but do you think that its better now that young people never hardly marry young?
Sometimes I think that we have too many options and that society suffers for it.

@jim44444 wow!
That’s terrific to hear. It’s not often you hear of people being together for so many years. All the best to you both! 💕

@REMsleep I would not recommend my approach. I believe we just got lucky. Any number of times over the years we could have called it quits but either we were too stubborn to give up or too lazy to make the effort to start over.
