If you fell in love with someone online would you fly across continents to meet them in person? Or will you wait for the other person to ask you?

I would only fly to meet them if they were extremely poor, had some immigration issue( couldn't leave country), or had family that they could not leave and they would have to make it abundantly clear to me that they wanted my visit and that they would contribute to my visit in some way.
In other words put some skin in the game too.
