People are so tricky. I think no matter how long you've known someone there's still things you need to learn. Relationships are never static, and it's important to navigate the ebb & flow of another and accept them as they are. Relationships take time and effort, and without effort anything we do is doomed to fail. Love & passion are great, but caring and respect are mandatory. Without them the first are fleeting.

Thoughts anyone?

12 years later and my opinion on this is has changed, and it's interesting to see how time works on our heart and mind :)

I have had similar experiences and just choose to remain cautious with those I share my life with.

@ClassicRocker at the time it wasn't specified to any one person and was meant more as a general viewpoint. I think as someone ages their perceptions of relationships change and hopefully mature. A 50-year-old wants something different than a 30 year old.:)

I am curious about this post.

May I ask what the 50 year old wants now ? As compared to the 30 year old ?

In general , life is all about manoeuvring / navigating around people and their thoughts / expressions / actions.

Trust in relationship is important apart from the others mentioned in your post.

Relationship has a certain ‘feel’.

This feeling stems from words / actions that one says / does.

Sometimes a bad conversation or hurtful comments could ruin a long term established relationship.

Communication and harmony play big roles in any relationship.

@scorpiolovedeep I can't speak for all those in that age range, I can only speak on my thoughts on those ages obviously.
