Humans have an innate instinct to like others that are similar. Goes back to our suvival roots. Yes, we can get past it, but it's always there.

Economically, politically, and socially, it's a weapon used to distract.

Colorism and xenophobic and culture's conflict.

Mostly fair skin got nice hospitality while the dark skinned is the opposite.

Immigrates who lived in foreign land got cussed and forced to returned to their origin land.

Divide when the other race gained privileged for being "the native race of the land" aka majority while the native..... they gained less benefits despite they are native.

Of course the immigrates one (even for 3rd or 4th generation) they never gained same privileged as the "native" since they are foreign. Seriously being foreign living for 4 generations.

Job mostly dominated by the privileged one.
@iamelijah why does racism exist?
iamelijah · 26-30, M
@Elevatorpitches Different enthnicity. Superiority one race of another, racial segregation and again colorism.
@iamelijah what can stop racism?
The better question would be, why do we keep harping on racism? It would be better to try and resolve it.
@Montanaman absolve it

@LadyGrace that would be too much work.
Do know how easy it is to hate a person for being a person.
But just tying to any big problem, the longer you procrastinate or keep kicking the can down the road it becomes a lack of willingness to fix it.
This country has passed up so many opportunities to do right things for over the past four hundred years.
@Briggett I certainly do. Too many haters out there, no matter who you are. Sad.

i'm pretty sure that if we were all the same color (which I've read may happen in the future) that there would still be discrimination based on the shade of skin color - maybe too much or too little melatonin would make a difference.

shoot we do it now based on someone's geographic location and make assumptions on their political leanings, religious preference, acceptance of sexual preference, etc. ... without even asking a question.

we are an odd species and I'm surprised we haven't made us extinct already
@Pretzel that old debbil brainpower😖?

Racism has political value, so politicians have to keep stirring the pot.

It's like war that also has political value. Politicians who may be against it often still support starting a war in order to give them something very serious to be against later.
Briggett · T
@Heartlander It the politicians who have always had and have ability to fit the problem.
It will never solve because there’s a possibility of having friends and family to turn on them and having to wear the label of being a trader to the cause.
It takes a whole lots of courage to do what’s right and you know what’s right and when the rest of the people tell you that you’re wrong when they know that they wrong keep from losing face and status in the American political system.
pdockal · 56-60, M
It all depends on what side you fall on as to how it affects you
pdockal · 56-60, M
@Elevatorpitches there is NO solution especially when the government gets involved tooooooo much

The system needs to have NO quotas and after you get hired you stay because you perform well etc
@pdockal whos the boss?
