Dating sucks

I might just be having a weird episode. Yet I feel like this is a weird story. I have had a crush on this person for a bit, on and off thing. I met them on a site and we talked for a minute. They disappeared. And I saw them in a public place for a bit over a year (they had a job that had us in contact). Idk if they knew it was me. Fast forward a few years. I'm polyamorous and wanting new friends and possibly a new partner. I reactivated my okcupid. They message me or something? And I messaged back normal. Then I just got the idea to tell them they are cute and be friendly about it. They then proceeded to tell me that they thought I was cute and also knew another account of mine on the web and thought I would be a good match for them. I asked how and they had a good enough explanation. We then talked for a bit for a day. Then met up. It went relatively well, we just talked about a bunch of things and they opened up about stuff in their life. At the end I had to leave after an hr and half or so. They kept acting like they were going somewhere and needed to leave. It was off putting. They ended the date with an elbow touch and they said I had their numberif I wantedtohangout. I messaged them that I still thought they were cute and had a good time. They said the same but more. I then said that I'm glad, because I was worried at the end due to them leaving like that. They said they where nervous. I gave them a compliment and it's been a day and they haven't said anything. I get the feeling that they didn't like me? Am I being weird?

Maybe they have different ways of expressing their feelings for you
