You cannot trust even your very best friends. They will stab you in the back!!

A relationship should never make me feel bad about myself. I shouldn't feel like I can't live up to their expectations when those expectations are not realistic.

I learned that I'm not so bad 🐿️

Don't push your limits if the relationship is strained.
Learn to recognize red flags in a relationship that can lead to bad things happening.
Don't be afraid to reach out for help or opinions on relationship related troubles, especially from mutual friends.

That I don't need friends in the physical world. Many people I used to count as friends actually weren't

That it's good to be cautious when you're knowing someone, no matter how great they seem to be, or their beautiful words, or how special they pretend you are.

Toxic people are often well disguised......

I have learned that people lie easily.
And that I should ALWAYS trust my gut.

In hindsight: Don't let selfish interests and/or hurt feelings deprive me/you of what could have been lifelong close and endearing friends.

I gave too much. I didn't protect myself at all. I always assumed that I was lucky to be around that other person never considering that they were also lucky to be with me
