In whatever relationship, give your best, so you don't regret in the end. If it ended, you know you did your part and be happy that you experienced being loved that way. Always choose the positive side ❤️

@JohannaJoyLinn good advice

Nayla · 51-55, F
You cannot trust even your very best friends. They will stab you in the back!!
SW-User
@Nayla that is unfortunately true
SweetMae · 70-79, F
A relationship should never make me feel bad about myself. I shouldn't feel like I can't live up to their expectations when those expectations are not realistic.
SW-User
@SweetMae true

@SweetMae [c=004A59]It's one of the biggest red flags I can think of. When you're married or dating and feeling ugly and stupid with your SO, it's time to re-think the relationship. [/c]
JupiterDreams · 31-35
I learned that I'm not so bad 🐿️

Don't be afraid to reach out for help or opinions on relationship related troubles, especially from mutual friends.
CBarson · 51-55
That I don't need friends in the physical world. Many people I used to count as friends actually weren't
SW-User
@CBarson I'm sorry you had that experience
CBarson · 51-55
@SW-User I am not. My life has improved tremendously since the exit certain individuals.
SW-User
@CBarson [c=004A59]That's happened to me as well. Some aspects of my health improved dramatically.[/c]

That it's good to be cautious when you're knowing someone, no matter how great they seem to be, or their beautiful words, or how special they pretend you are.

I have learned that people lie easily.
And that I should ALWAYS trust my gut.

[c=004A59]I learned that I need to stop and think carefully -- maybe go outside and breathe deeply and count to to ten -- before I react.[/c]

Unless she has a big mouth, or lots of experience, it isn't going to work
Lilymoon · F
I learned not to be a trusting gullible fool.
SW-User
@Lilymoon yeah 🥺
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
That sometimes it's best to let some relationships end.
fun4us2b · M
Pay attention, listen
SW-User
@fun4us2b sir yes sir
fun4us2b · M
@SW-User well, the thing is, things were being said, and I didn't hear them. Now I work harder at listening to what is being said and where it's coming from. That's the biggest lesson I've learned.

Great question.

In hindsight: Don't let selfish interests and/or hurt feelings deprive me/you of what could have been lifelong close and endearing friends.

(I may adjust this answer later to better articulate)
be on the look out for red flags

@Greyscale [c=004A59]I saw them, but dismissed them, because I thought I was being "unforgiving" to notice. 😑[/c]
REMsleep · 41-45, F
I gave too much. I didn't protect myself at all. I always assumed that I was lucky to be around that other person never considering that they were also lucky to be with me
SW-User
@REMsleep can relate
LunarOrbit · 56-60, M
Keep your friends close

And your enemies closer
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
