ABCDEF7 · M
Centuries ago, it was common in most civilizations for women to stay at home and take care of children, and for men to go outside and work to get the food and arrange for living.

So as per their respective roles in family, women were more expressive of emotions in taking care and bringing up the children. While the men needed to suppress the display of their emotions, otherwise it could have become difficult for them earn/arrange their living.

I think, this could have an general impact on how men are suppressive or are not expressive of their emotions. This may not apply to all and there are always some exceptions.

Moreover, how the two genders have adopted to changing scenarios in modern times, and how they are expected to be behaving, have influenced what they they try to be and what they extrude. This we can also see the difference with difference in culture over the various parts of this planet.
