Yeah that's good, I'm a rags to riches person and id go out my way to save pennies. I'd buy online through Cashback sites offering just a few percent Cashback, and the few percents add up. And when you get to the point that you are spending at least thousands, 7% is a lot. A piece of advice I'd give for money is to think in terms of percentages, not actual amounts, because a percentage will always be relative to the buying power of the person. Like, if you save £100 that might seem like a lot to a min wage worker, but to, say, a medical doctor that runs a hospital, that's pennies. Always think in terms of percentages.
And also think of it this way: if you put your money into a savings account, you are never going to be given a 7% interest rate, that's a good rate.
