The Secret Influence of Art [I Work In a Library]

Many years ago John Berger's Ways of Seeing was shown for the first time. It was not a critique of Kenneth Clark's Civilization by the way, but an addition. The answer to the question of what's really important isn't the same as the one to what's really there after all.

@BoobooSnafu We had to make a piece of conceptual art for a project. So me and my friend went walking and found someone was throwing away their kitchen. We rebuilt the kitchen in the park and got some guy to sit at the table with his chicken and chips to photograph him. We were taking the piss. They all took it so seriously 🤣

@BoobooSnafu Still stuck in the mud?
As an artist , so much of this is what we call 'art Wank.
People will say anything they want about a piece.
Most of it is Bullshit.

The reason a painting comes out as it does ....is because that's how you felt at the time .

And that's it .

Its all in the eye of the beholder,... or bullshit artist .

@BoobooSnafu Still in the naughty corner for you, young man.
@val70 hehe.
Ah...id love to see what Picasso and Van G thought if this 😄
Expressionism said it best ...its in the moment.
It's in the feel.

And its THIS an artist tries to capture.

We don't logify and reason our work

We feel it .

And therein lies the angst of getting it right .
