Love poems ✨

I loved you with every breath I couldn’t take, deeply and passionately, whatever that is.

Being the hopeless romantic that I am. I hate that about myself. The poetic love that burns deep within me.

Funny that isn’t it, to be loved like I love, life doesn’t happen like that does it.

Always the one wanting and needing but never finding it.

How poetic is that.

Don't pick on me - but I wrote this back in 1992 after my 1st divorce - maybe you can you can use it now

You can have what you wanted,
the clean ending, the last goodbye,
the silence that doesn’t beg back.

I kept you in the small, patient places,
where hope likes to hide,
but I’m done bargaining with ghosts.

I won’t write your name
like it means something holy anymore.
I won’t rehearse the version of us
that never learned to stay.

This is not a tragedy....
it’s a release.
My heart is learning the quiet
without trying to fill it with you.

So I’ll love the life I have now,
even if it feels unfamiliar at first.
I’ll breathe like I’m allowed to move on,
and I’ll stop calling the ache
“love.”

You’re not my home.
You were just a chapter
I finally stopped reopening.

It's not poetic
I've seen true love in couples, it's very very rare and nothing wrong in wishing you could have it ♥
