Words of affirmation is my love language

Words have always been very important and powerful to me. I really try and put forth effort when communicating with a friend or loved one. I often get hurt when it is not reciprocated. I understand I shouldn’t have expectations . It is something I struggle with simply because it is how I express my love for others.
