@SW-User ah yes, that reminds me now, I love the word "scallion". It makes me think of a sea-creature but its actually onions. It's amazing.

@MartinTheFirst Yes, mainly used in Ireland. Normally called spring onions in GB.

@MartinTheFirst Also Scotland for scallions, apparently. When I went to London as a student they used think I was Scottish. Also a hot toddy (whisky, boiling water, etc.)

@SW-User that is a funny english slang word. It was used in monty pythons life of brian in which a stuttering pontius pilate used it. Hilarious.
