There's a very opinionated audiobook community there so I asked it, the big one
Which is the better narrator for The Lord of the Rings trilogy -- Andy Serkis or Rob Inglis
Serkis is a newer recording and is a more modern approach and after listening to the samples a bit I do prefer him, Inglis is a quicker reader and more traditional, the responses I got said that Serkis does a dynamite Gollum, but Inglis for everything else, well I think Serkis would still be my choice, but both would have to be gotten eventually.
To enter an enchanted world, one of the most classic ones, Serkis would be more immersive sounding.
But before getting them, I should listen to aGrimdark classic trilogy, The Frist Law Trilogy by Joe Abercrombie read masterfully by Steven Pacey.
