I must listen to all of these one by one before listening to any other audiobook that speaks for or of the East
There is a focus on Buddhism, which is vast in and of itself, being in 3 main schools, makes Christianity seem like a one panel cartoon, crazy complex, but the basic teaching of 4 noble truths and 8 fold path, are inspiring, and there is much wisdom amongst the complexities. I admit most openly that I don't understand any of this that well, it is more of a life than a body of teaching, but ever since I began being interested in history, the Eastern traditions are to me inviting yet imposing. There ought to be regardless a sense of wonder, and seriousness, I wish to treat this material with utmost respect.
