My 2026 Categorical Imperative Audible Diet

History

Gibbon's Decline and Fall --- then Will Durant's The Story of Civilization

Christianity

St. Augustine's City of God --- then Aquinas' Summa --- then Calvin's Institutes

Eastern Religion

There's too many to name here, but it'll be a one at a time, i'll just say here that there is one guy fitting this category that may have been a bona-fide cult leader, Osho, he is interesting to listen to however, I just can't however not think of the things he was possibly culpable of.

Classic Fiction

*Doug Bradley's Spinechillers --- and then the "complete" Dostoevsky and Tolstoy ((or)) Anthony Trollope's Pallisers series coupled with Wilkie Collins' No Name and Armadale

OTR (Old Time Radio)

4 different 50 hour collections, these can be fun even the commercials are priceless, and it's good to know if I really get the OTR bug, I can enjoy whole series like Dragnet, Gunsmoke, The Shadow etc elsewhere.

* Bradley is the guy who played Pinhead in Hellraiser, he's got a fabulous voice and he reads classic horror in these 13 movie length audiobooks, also for more spooky stuff a separate post would be required.
