I am an avid reader

I go to the library every few weeks to stock up and renew books and return books I finished reading on time. I get up to eight books at a time sometimes and even though I don’t finish them all I can renew them. Currently I am reading shadow reels by CJ box which is a mystery series about a fish and game warden called Joe Pickett. I also have the books three inch teeth also by CJ Box. Frankenstein and Wicked ( about the wicked witch of the west in oz ). I finished the books Caleb’s crossing, our missing hearts, wolf hall, and the paper palace. My taste in books ran the gamut from historical fiction, fantasy, horror/thriller, mysteries, science fiction, young adult fiction, realistic and dystopian fiction, romance, westerns, all types of fiction to non fiction such as history, science, geography, biographies and memoirs, etc. I just pick out each time whatever looks good to read. I also like poetry and collections of short stories. I have quite a few books of my own that are not from the library that I can keep. Reading takes me to another world and opens up possibilities. It is one of the ways I learn about the world. I have enjoyed reading literature since I was a child and would often get lost for hours in a good book. It would distract me from the real world for a while and helped me to imagine my own worlds.

Hi5! I, too share your joy of travelling in books! I have less time these years, but I still read when possible! Nowadays, with E-ink E-readers/Tablets, you can now have multiple libraries, databases and journals at your fingertips ^^. Nice digital option, without the eye strain from LCD screens. Although there is no comfort quite the same as the real, hard copy book, there is a great advantage to have access to many books, anywhere, as long as you have access to electricity :'). Furthermore, in busy days when need to do some chores on top of everything, you can turn text-to-speech and continue following the story on the go :). I know that it isn’t everybody's cup of tea; just felt like sharing this with a fellow avid reader! Enjoy reading and creating! ❤😀 I still prefer "real books" but I am actually a hybrid reader. If I am on the go, I will take the tiny reader. If I have time to sit and sink in, I will take the actual book. ^^ I wonder, what are your thoughts on E-ink? Is it something you'd consider trying some day?

Is there a book that you hold close to heart and that you like to reread?
