It is really what you make of it. And I know it's the most common cliché but, it is true.

We all have really horrible , life altering things happen, sometimes more than once. Loved ones leave or die or are murdered. We get sick we get really sick, or our loved ones. ETC.... There is so much devastation and disaster.

But. You know. I am sorry. I got lost in my own 'stuff' in my mind , mostly in my heart, what I wanted to say , it's not so valid anymore.

So, yes. Life IS what we make of it...it is true.

People who have survived the Holocaust and I have met them, with numbers faded into dark grey, tattooed into their forearms.
I have eaten with them, at my local McDonalds.
I have spoken with them...One lady spoke of her children and family so fondly, with joy and pride.
... So, these survivours, they married, raised good decent children who hold down respectable jobs and are married with families of their own.
Wow! I thought to myself.
HOW can they have come out of such horrors and still rise?
Still thrive even?
I find that honestly mind boggling.

The human spirit is indeed indomitable. It is Love. Faith. Hope. Community. Continuity. Compassion.
I don't know the words,
are there words even????????

(So, okay. It is I think that love and compassion and other truly humane life choices and mind-heart choices and also our allies,
that will pull us through the most horrific of circumstances.)

Take good care of yourself :)
