I Would Easily Spend a Whole Day Curled Up With a Good Book

[b]In Winter.–[/b] I love this time of year when it's cold and dark and wet outside and the rain is pouring down in waves into the lake. I need a rain coat and wellies to walk along the water. It's good to be alone with the rain and the snow. Evenings are very long and I can watch the full-length record of a Baroque opera while drinking some [i]Amarone[/i] on my own. Summer's long gone and experiences of love and laughter seem so far away. I don't miss anyone, not even one to warm up my feet. Time to read the [i]Iliad[/i] again, with dreams of being Chryseis.
