A History of Greek Philosophy -- W.K.C. Guthrie (7/1000)
This is the latest personal buzz work, a multi-volume unfinished masterpiece, which I am collecting piecemeal.
Volume 1 covers from Thales to Pythagoras, vol. 2 covers the rest of the Presocratics, v.3 in two parts The Sophists and Socrates, those will be in my possession soon.
Then there's a volume for Plato, and a last one which wasn't finished on Aristotle. (There's 2 volumes on Plato)
Mr. Guthrie was planning on expanding it to the Hellenistic period, but didn't live long enough.
Words fail me folks, I love this stuff so much, that there are such things to have, like having a timeless seminar series, and the focus on all things Greek and Roman in and of itself is a major highlight and turning point in my reading life.
